What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a type of clear aligners that function like traditional braces in that they gradually straighten your teeth. However, the aligners are much more inconspicuous, being completely see through.

They are removable for easy cleaning, but you should also take them out for eating and drinking, as heat will melt the aligners.

What is the Procedure for Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners work to gradually shift your teeth into alignment. After we take an impression of your teeth, you’ll be fitted with your first aligners. They will need to be switched out every couple of weeks with an adjusted aligner that progressively straightens your teeth.

While the length of your treatment greatly depends on each individual case, on average, Invisalign treatment can take anywhere from 12 to 18 months. Again, this duration could be more or less depending on your needs.

Your dentist works with you to create a tailored treatment plan with Invisalign. They’re custom designed to move your teeth with the right amount of force, all completely metal-free!

The Benefits of Invisalign
